The San Francisco Bay Area Transit District (BART) Train Control Modernization Project (TCMP) was one of its major investment initiatives to support continued reliability, high service quality and the safety of the transit agency’s customers and employees. Throughout the span of this seven-year, $25 million project, BART implemented an improved train control system that increases train frequency and puts the expanded fleet in service both safely and reliably, as part of the agency’s aim to meet ridership demands.
Acumen provided numerous services to support this important project, including contract administration, project controls, scheduling, document control, technical writing, design-build document preparation, construction management and engineering, cost estimating services and procurement of a Communication-Based Train Control system.
